Dear Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed our extra long weekend. Welcome to Week 5, how fast this term is flying by!
I am pleased to announce that last Friday's casual day raised $560 for the Vinnies Christmas Appeal!! I would like to thank the Social Justice team for arranging such a great cause, and for the students and families for your generosity.
World Teachers Day
All staff at St Paul's extend a huge thank you to Diana Khamu (Mum of Julius in Year 6) and the P&F for arranging our magnificent morning tea on Friday 25 October to celebrate World Teachers Day. It was an amazing spread and we are all truly grateful.
RSL Remembrance Poppy Appeal
The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month is a moment not only to pause and remember all those who have served and sacrificed in wars and conflicts across the world, but also to reflect on the historical events that led to this day of significance. Originally announced to mark the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I, Remembrance Day today gives us all the opportunity to acknowledge the service personnel who died while serving in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations
Please support the RSL Poppy Appeal by purchasing items from the office - wristbands, badges and pens ranging from $2 to $5. Please bring small change for your purchases.
Upcoming Swimming Program
The Aqua Star Learn to Swim Schools Program begins in Week 6 for Prep - Year 3 (11 - 15 November) and in Week 7 for Year 4 - 6 students (18 - 22 November). The Swimming program is an essential component of the Victorian Physical Education curriculum and the cost is embedded into the school fees. Dear Parents,
In the Art Room, we are aiming to be as sustainable as possible. I am looking to collect any old tea towels or towels that can be cut up for rags, to eliminate the use of paper towels.
Another way I would love to be sustainable in the future is to reduce the purchasing of plastic art smocks. For 2025, please consider sending your child with a second hand T-shirt or button down that can be used as their smock for the year. Any 2024 Year 6 families may also consider donating their child’s art smock to the Art Room at the conclusion of the school year.
The art room is always looking to collect:
- glass jars
- egg cartons
- magazines
- newspapers
Many thanks for your ongoing support

Glen Eira City Council - Road Safety Video
Hello, all School Communities in the Glen Eira Municipality,
As we approach the end of the school year the roads, parking and school crossings surrounding your school are very busy.
Glen Eira Council has created a short, animated video which was shared with you all in February this year. This video was created to be passed on to your school parents and community. It is a fabulous two and half minute video that explains parking signs, how the school crossing operates and aims to promote safety surrounding your schools. It encourages students to walk or ride to school too, even if only from a few blocks away, to help ease traffic congestion, improve healthy activity and to help the environment.
We would appreciate your support in distributing the video to your school community, whether it be at assembly, on your website, in your newsletter, wherever you see fit.
