Year 3 Reconciliation Reflection Day
Reconciliation Reflection Day was a fun day to learn about different things. We learnt about Zacchaeus and we made crosses. We also went into the church to see what you do on your Sacrament of Reconciliation. It was fun because we got to be with people from the other class. - Emma Ritchie
On Friday we made stained glass windows made of different coloured tissue paper. We also watched the story of Zacchaeus and made leaves where we wrote about something we’re sorry about. All of us learnt not to be selfish. We also practised what we will do on our sacrament night. - Matthew Ko
Police Proactive Unit to Visit Year 5 and 6 – Cyber Safety & Anti-Bullying Session
We are pleased to inform our school community that on Friday, 2nd May (Term 2), the Police Proactive Unit will be visiting our Year 5 and 6 students to deliver an important session on cyber safety, cyberbullying, and bullying prevention.
As children spend more time online, it is essential they understand not only how to stay safe but also their responsibility in the digital world. The session will help students recognize that their actions online have real consequences and that it is never acceptable to bully, harass, or intimidate others in any space—online or in person.
The officers will cover key topics such as navigating social media safely, recognizing and responding to cyberbullying, and understanding the importance of respectful online behavior. Students will also gain insights into how to be responsible digital citizens and what to do if they witness or experience inappropriate behavior online.
We encourage parents to continue these conversations at home, reinforcing the importance of making safe, respectful, and responsible choices online.
Thank you for your support in helping our students develop the knowledge and skills to be safe and respectful members of both the online and school community.
We are also making enquiries for an information session specifically designed for parents on this topic, so please keep an eye out for dates and information regarding this.
NAPLAN Successfully Completed
Our Year 3 and Year 5 students have now completed their NAPLAN assessments, and we are pleased to report that everything ran smoothly. The students approached the tests with focus and determination, and we are proud of their efforts.
A big thank you to our staff for their support in ensuring a well-organised and positive experience for our students. We also appreciate the encouragement from families in helping their children feel prepared and confident.
Well done to all our Year 3 and 5 students!
Year 6 Camp
Last week, our Year 6’s students had a brilliant experience at the CYC Phillip Island camp. Along with their teachers Danielle Wakeling, Oliver Santamera, Andrew Bath and Ella Ronchi and of course Danny Maher. The three days were packed to the brim with activities: giant swing, flying fox, a long walk to the beach, rock climbing, archery, and many more! Everyone became experts in putting on a harness and scaling great heights. Parents were thrilled with lots of photos on Seesaw of their children enjoying time away from home. A very big thank you to Danny and the class teachers for organising a wonderful school experience and taking care of our Year 6's at Phillip Island.

Harmony Day
On Friday, the St. Paul’s school community embraced Harmony Day with open arms, with everyone wearing a touch of orange. Harmony Day serves as a symbol of cultural diversity and inclusivity within our school community.
We thank the SRC team for their creativity in commemorating this special day. Their initiatives, which included organsing orange food to be sold at the canteen truly enriched the experience.
A heartfelt thank you extends to our SRC students, Wellbeing Leaders and the Wellbeing Team for their unwavering dedication in ensuring the success of this memorable day. See below for some photos!

FETE 2025 Update
Dear Parents and Families,
We would like to share an important update regarding this year’s St. Paul’s Fete. After careful consideration, the P&F Executive Committee has made the decision to hold the fete as an internal event for St. Paul’s families and friends, rather than a larger community-wide event.
This decision was made due to a shortage of volunteers for the fete committee, making it challenging to run the event at the scale we have in previous years. While we understand this may be disappointing to some, we are still committed to making it a fun and enjoyable day for our school community.
The event will feature many of the exciting activities, food, and entertainment that our families love, creating a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate as a school. We look forward to seeing you there and making great memories with our St. Paul’s family.
Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Anzac Day
ANZAC Day is a day to remember the service and sacrifice of the ANZAC soldiers landing on Gallipoli in Turkey on 25 April 1915 during World War I. It is a time where we also recognise the sacrifices of servicemen and servicewomen who have participated and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.
Students will be learning about the importance of commemorating ANZAC Day and the significance of this for us in today’s world.
It is not always easy to explain war to children, but teachers do so with care and sensitivity so that students can understand the sacrifice of soldiers as we approach ANZAC Day.
Lest we forget.
Merchandise is being sold at various times during the day in the classrooms with the help of the Social Justice leaders - pins, pens, wristbands and bag tags ranging from $1 - $5. Please bring small change.
School Uniform
Just a reminder that we allow a two-week cross-over period in Term 2 where parents can choose to send their child/ren in summer or winter uniform, weather-dependent and common sense needs to apply. School hats are still required to be worn until the end of April. It is the expectation that all students are in Winter Uniform the week beginning the 28th of April.

On Friday 21st March, St Paul's Primary School celebrated Harmony Day, a day dedicated to promoting inclusivity and diversity. The school was buzzing with orange and good vibes and everyone was excited to participate in the various activities planned for the day. These activities were designed to encourage students to interact with one another and promote inclusiveness.
The SRC team organised students to wear a touch of orange with their school uniform, orange treats from the school canteen, a chalkboard filled with kind messages and a Harmony Day scavenger hunt.
Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter, and most importantly, a celebration of diversity and inclusivity. The school community came together, and the message of Harmony Day was loud and clear - we are all a part of this community, and we should celebrate and embrace our differences. Let's continue to work together to promote inclusivity and kindness in our school community.
